Support for the Women’s Shelter

“Handspun Hope” is a women’s shelter in Musanze offering protection and a livelihood for roughly 200 women who have suffered abuse or are infected with HIV or hepatitis.

In the meantime, in addition to establishing the daycare center, the women's medical care has also been improved:

A doctor, a nurse, and two psychologists have been hired. To enable them to perform their work, medical equipment needs to be purchased. Donations are also making this possible, allowing for better equipment so that the women can receive medical care.

„Just €50 is enough to support ten women - and their children, in some cases - for several months at the shelter, where they can work and receive medical care and food.“

“Handspun Hope” is a women’s shelter in Musanze offering protection and a future for roughly 200 women who have suffered abuse or are infected with HIV or hepatitis.

They earn their livings and gain new hope through traditional labor and handicrafts - from raising sheep to spinning and dyeing wool to making one-of-a-kind animal sculptures.

Even just €50 helps a great deal.
The animals that they lovingly make by hand can be sent to Germany, where they can be acquired for a donation. Every donation directly supports the shelter, giving the women continued prospects for the future.
